Nationals' Strong Start

Building The Lead
The Nationals' bats stayed hot in the fourth inning! Paul DeJong doubled to start things off. Then Crews hit another double, and Millas followed with a thrilling triple to score two more runs. The Nationals had a stunning 4-0 lead at the end of the fourth inning. Our pitching kept the Mets in check, with Vasil and Henry limiting the Mets' chances. And the cherry on top was Josh Bell smashing a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth, extending our lead to 5-1!

Holding Onto Victory
The Mets didn't go down without a fight, though, tightening the game with a surge in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and making our fans a bit nervous. Thankfully, Tyler Ogasawara and Bobby Beeter did an awesome job containing the damage. Our bullpen showcased resilience, and Jose Ferrer came in clutch during the ninth, shutting down the Mets to seal a 5-4 victory for our beloved Nationals!

Overall, it was a fantastic team effort, and every Nationals fan should be proud of how the players performed. Let's keep this momentum going! #NatsWin
