Yankees Start Strong
The game kicked off with a bang for our New York Yankees at Fenway Park!
In the top of the 1st inning, Trent Grisham was hit by a pitch, instantly putting a man on base. Ben Rice made it count with a ground rule double, placing Grisham at third. With Aaron Judge walking and the big bats poised, Cody Bellinger hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Grisham and giving us the lead. Then came Jazz Chisholm Jr. with an infield single that brought Rice home for another score. Unfortunately, Jose Caballero and Austin Wells both struck out looking, but not before we took a comfortable 2-0 lead. 
Dominating the Early Innings
Our pitching staff did a phenomenal job in the early innings, keeping the Red Sox at bay. Alex Bregman and Trevor Story couldn't find their rhythm, with Bregman striking out and Story only managing a ground out. Meanwhile, Jazz Chisholm Jr. continued his stellar performance by driving in Aaron Judge with a single in the 3rd inning, extending our lead to 3-0. Then he lifted our spirits even higher with a homer to right center in the 5th inning, making it 4-0.
Late-Inning Action and Victory!
The Red Sox attempted a comeback, narrowing the gap slightly in the 5th and 6th innings with homers by Alex Bregman and Jarren Duran. But Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger didn't let that go unanswered! Judge advanced to second on a wild pitch in the top of the 9th, and Bellinger's clutch double to left brought Judge home, setting the final score at 5-3.
The bottom of the 9th was all ours with David Bednar sealing the win. Ceddanne Rafaela, Romy González, and Alex Bregman couldn’t penetrate our defense, each hitting into outs.
What a game, Yankees fans! A 5-3 victory against our fierce rivals brings us one step closer to our playoff dreams!
