A costly error by Guardians' Andres Gimenez and smart plays by Juan Soto and Aaron Judge quickly loaded the bases. Anthony Rizzo's single and Giancarlo Stanton's walk brought in two runs, placing us ahead early in the game.
The Guardians couldn't fire back in their half, going down 1-2-3 thanks to our pitching keeping them at bay.
Yankees Extend Their Lead
By the 4th inning, we had solidified our lead. A strategic walk for Gleyber Torres, followed by Alex Verdugo's patience at the plate, set us up perfectly.
