The Guardians fought back, narrowing our lead down by scoring three in the 7th and another in the 8th to tie the game at 6-6. But our Yankees never lost heart. In the 9th, Anthony Rizzo and Anthony Volpe delivered clutch singles, and with some help from Cleveland's fielding error and a Gleyber Torres RBI single, we regained the lead, 8-6. Tommy Kahnle took the mound in the bottom of the 9th and managed to hold off the Guardians, securing a thrilling win for the Yankees.
