It's a great day for Tigers Nation! 
The Detroit Tigers took on the New York Yankees at home and clinched a convincing 6-2 victory! Right from the start, our boys were ready to make an impact.Pitching and Defense Keep Us Strong

The game commenced with solid pitching and defense from both sides in the first two innings, ensuring the scoreboard remained untouched. A key moment was in the top of the 3rd when Rice's threat with a triple was nullified thanks to a fine pickoff play, holding the Yankees at bay. Great job by our infielders! 
Third Inning Fireworks by Ibáñez 
Just when the game needed a spark, Andy Ibáñez delivered big-time at the bottom of the 3rd. After walking troubles hitting Rogers and Kreidler, Ibáñez stepped up and launched a three-run homer (376 feet) to leap the Tigers ahead 3-0! It's plays like these that truly electrify the crowd and turn the momentum in our favor. 
Team Effort Extends Lead 
The Tigers capitalized further in the 5th inning with Malloy batting in Keith and Rogers to extend the lead to 5-1. Sweeney added another run to our tally in a 7th inning rally, showcasing our depth and resilience in driving in runs. This combined effort put us comfortably at a 6-1 lead.Yankees’ Late Response Fizzles Out 
All credit to our pitching staff once again. Despite the Yankees fighting back with a run in the 8th due to an unfortunate error, the Tigers defense stood firm. Rice and Judge couldn't significantly dent our lead. Holton, Brieske, and Kahnle did a stellar job in closing out without further damage. We sealed the game with great composure in the 9th inning.
