Disappointing Day at the K
Well, Royals fans, it was a rough day at The K.
Starting Strong in the 1st
The game started off looking a bit promising when Jonathan India and Drew Waters made some decent plays, but unfortunately, the Yankees struck first. Aaron Judge's monstrous 469-foot homer in the first inning dazzled the crowd and gave the Yankees an early 2-run lead. Our guys had a chance at the bottom of the first, but couldn’t make magic happen.Promising Push in the 2nd
Top of the second saw the Yankees held at bay, thanks to solid pitching. Our turn at bat gave us a glimpse of hope as Vinnie Pasquantino and Salvador Perez got on base, and Jac Caglianone brought home a run! That brought the score to 2-1, but that was as close as we'd get.Yankees' Offensive Surge
The fourth inning brought more heartache when the Yankees extended their lead with a 3-run bomb from Austin Wells. By the 6th inning, they piled on with additional runs, making it 10-1. It seemed like everything the Yankees hit found a gap.
A Glimmer from India
Bright spot? Jonathan India gave us something to cheer about in the bottom of the 6th with a solo homer to center field. A 415-foot beauty!
Unable to Rally
Even though we couldn't muster more runs, we fought until the end. In the 9th inning, with a couple of guys on base, Tyler Tolbert tried to lift our spirits but unfortunately flied out to right, putting a cap on the game. The Yankees came away victorious today.Looking Ahead
It's always tough to lose, especially at home, but keep your heads up, Royals Nation!
