Dominant Yankees Start

The Yankees kicked off the game in style with a fabulous start. After Paul Goldschmidt was retired, Trent Grisham drew a walk setting the stage for our beloved Aaron Judge. 🚀 Showing off his mighty power, Judge DESTROYED a ball at 469 feet out to left, scoring both himself and Grisham. Yankees already ahead 2-0—what a way to set the tone! Although Cody Bellinger and Anthony Volpe couldn't bring more runs home this inning, the Bronx Bombers had the momentum.

Strong Defense and More Runs

While the Royals could only muster a solitary run from a groundout in the second inning, the Yankees defense stood tall! The top of the fourth is where the Yankees really pulled away! Jasson Domínguez, continuing to prove his worth, and DJ LeMahieu set up a three-run bomb by Austin Wells to right field. That clutch homer stretched the Yankees' lead to 5-1. 🧨 Our pitching staff kept the Royals at bay, mixing strikeouts and inducing weak contact. 🎯

Sealing the Victory

The 6th inning was the real nail in the coffin for the Royals as our boys exploded for five more runs! 💥 LeMahieu scored on a Wells double, followed by Goldschmidt's single that helped bring Wells home on a Grisham single. This streak just went on and on as Judge and Bellinger kept the rally rolling, bringing the score to a beautiful 10-1 lead. Aside from a solo home run from the Royals' Jonathan India, our pitching limited their chances, and Hill came in to close the game with no drama. Great pitching and big bats make Yankees' baseball super fun to watch. 😎

All in all, the Yankees took care of business with a commanding 10-2 win, proving that they mean business in this series. Let's keep this momentum rolling and continue to cheer on our Yankees! 🗽⚾🍎
