A Tough Night in LA
Well, Yankees fans, this was one of those nights we'd all like to forget as soon as possible.
Dodgers Dominate Early
The game started with some early promising moments for us; Trent Grisham walked, but it ended with a double play from Aaron Judge. Meanwhile, the Dodgers wasted no time showing their offensive prowess. They put four runs up on the board during the first inning, with Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and others contributing to the scoring rally. Our defense just couldn't contain them. By the end of the second inning, the Dodgers were up 10-0.A Glimmer of Hope from Judge
One of the rare highlights for us was Aaron Judge's performance. He hit two homers—one in the 4th inning, providing a much-needed spark, and another in the 8th inning, reminding the Dodgers that the Yankees don't go down without a fight.
Looking Ahead
It wasn’t our night, and having to watch Dalton Rushing launch a three-run homer in the 8th inning to push their total to 18 runs was tough, especially when paired with our bullpen’s struggle to find consistency. The Dodgers clearly had the upper hand at every turn. It's one to chalk up to experience! We've got to regroup, refocus, and head into the next game with determination. Let's keep our spirits high and hope for a better showing next time. Go Yankees!
