The Yankees took the lead in the top of the 6th inning when Giancarlo Stanton crushed a two-run homer to left field, bringing in Juan Soto and setting the score at 2-1 in our favor. What a shot! However, in the bottom of the 8th, the Dodgers tied it up thanks to some sloppy play, including a throwing error by Soto. In the top of the 10th, Anthony Volpe grounded into a fielder’s choice, allowing Jazz Chisholm Jr. to score, briefly giving us the lead 3-2.Dodgers' Late-Inning Comeback
Yankees’ pitching held strong until the bottom of the 10th when Freddie Freeman hit a devastating walk-off grand slam following Mookie Betts’ intentional walk. The Dodgers came out ahead with a final score of 6-3, ending the game on a bitter note for Yankees fans. Despite the loss, there were some promising plays from our roster. Better luck next time, Yankees! Let's rally behind them and cheer them on to a win in the next game! ️Keep your heads up, Bombers fans! We've got plenty of baseball left this season.
