A Rollercoaster Start
The Seattle Mariners faced off against the New York Yankees in what promised to be an exciting match. We started strong with a solo bomb from Julio Rodríguez in the bottom of the 1st inning; who doesn’t love a little home run action early on?

Mid-Game Struggle
Jorge Polanco kept spirits high with another homer in the bottom of the 3rd to the right (364 feet) as our lead grew to 2-1. But the challenge was real in the 5th inning. The Yankees lit up the scoreboard with six runs, including a 3-run homer by Austin Wells, pushing them ahead 7-2. We stood our ground, but they outstripped us through effective batting and timely hits. You gotta give it to Trent Grisham too. He was on fire with homers in the 3rd and 5th innings.
Making It a Fight, But Falling Short
We regrouped and saw some glimmer of hope when Cal Raleigh slapped a two-run homer (420 feet) in the 8th inning to close the gap to 8-5. But the Yankees were relentless. Anthony Volpe’s homer in the 9th further extended their lead. We had our chances with runners on, but the night wasn’t ours as we finished with a score of 11-5.There’s no denying it was a tough loss, but I am proud of our guys, especially the shining moments from Rodríguez, Polanco, and Raleigh. There's always tomorrow, and we'll be ready. Let’s get them next time!
