Yankees Start Strong

The Yankees came out swinging right from the get-go against the Cardinals, putting three on the board in the first inning! ⚾Trent Grisham worked a walk to start things off, and Ben Rice followed with a double to put runners on second and third. The big fella, Aaron Judge, grounded out to get Grisham home. Then, it was Jazz Chisholm Jr. who stole the show with a two-run homer to right, scoring Ben Rice to flex that early lead. Anthony Volpe ended the inning with an out, but the damage was already done. Go, Yanks! 💪

Solid Defense Holds Cardinals Back

Throughout the middle innings, our guys maintained a strong hold. In the third inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. showed off his speed by walking, stealing second, and eventually scoring on a clutch Jasson Domínguez single. It wasn't just fireworks at the plate, though. The defense shined, executing double plays and striking out Cardinals left and right. Big props to our bullpen for keeping the Cards at bay. 🎯

Nail-Biting Finish!

Things got a little too close for comfort in the seventh inning, as the Cardinals began a rally. A few hits and a wild pitch later, they brought the score to a tight 4-3. Our hearts were pounding in the eighth and ninth innings, but once again, the bullpen stepped up. David Bednar closed it out like a boss in the ninth, striking out two and getting the final out with Yohel Pozo lining out to left. That secured our 4-3 victory. Yankees fans, we did it! 🏆👏

Off to the next game, and let's keep this momentum rolling, Bronx Bombers! 🎉
