Exciting Start with a Quiet First Three Innings
Last night's game had us all on the edge of our seats! Both teams started strong defensively, with the Yankees and the Blue Jays holding each other to 0 runs during the first three innings. Our very own Vladimir Guerrero Jr. did manage a double in the first inning, but it wasn't enough to get us on the board.Yankees Take the Lead in the Fourth
Despite our solid start, the Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered to right field, bringing Trent Grisham home and giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead. Our boys struggled to reach base, and it seemed momentum was building on the Yankees' side.
Turning the Tide in the Sixth
But here's where things took a turn for the better! Davis Schneider started off our sixth inning with a double, and a series of strong hits from Nathan Lukes and Ernie Clement brought us back in the game. It was a two-run single by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. that really pushed us over the edge, bringing the score to 5-3 in favor of the Blue Jays!

Holding Off the Yankees for the Win
The eighth inning got tough when Cody Bellinger homered, inching the Yankees closer with a score of 5-4, but thanks to our strong pitching lineup—including the closing by Hoffman—we held them off for the victory! Garrett Green and Jeff Hoffman successfully sealed the deal, striking out crucial Yankee hitters to secure the win!

This game showed us the heart of our team. With relentless determination and an incredible sixth-inning rally, the Toronto Blue Jays triumphed over the New York Yankees with a final score of 5-4! What a fantastic way to fly the Blue Jay flag high and proud. Let's keep this momentum going, team!
