A Fast Start for Oakland
What a way to kick off the game! Lawrence Butler wasted no time, doubling to left field to get things started in the top of the 1st inning. Then, the fireworks began. Brent Rooker launched a massive homer to left field, bringing Butler home and putting us 2-0 up!

Defense Holds Strong
The Red Sox tried to bounce back with a run in the bottom of the 1st and another homer by David Hamilton in the bottom of the 2nd, but our defense and pitching held on tight. Paul Blackburn showed some poise on the mound after those early challenges, and our fielders kept their bats quiet throughout the middle innings. Great teamwork all around!Capitalizing on Errors
The 3rd inning saw us add another run, as Jacob Wilson reached base on a fielding error by the Sox's shortstop, enabling Kurtz to score, making it 4-2. These opportunities are crucial, and credit to our guys for seizing the moment. Butler then continued his spectacular form in the 7th inning by scoring on yet another Boston error. Every little mistake from them turned into a big advantage for us!
Closing It Out
As the Red Sox threatened to make a late comeback with a big solo shot by Trevor Story in the 8th, our bull-pen held strong. Hogan Harris stepped in, shutting down any hopes for Boston with precision pitches and clutch outs. In the bottom of the 9th, we sealed the deal with three straight outs, clinching a sweet 5-3 victory at Fenway Park. This win was a true team effort, and a testament to our fighting spirit throughout the game. Let's keep the momentum rolling, Athletics fans!
