A Rocky Start
It was a tough night at Minute Maid Park for our beloved Houston Astros as we faced the Oakland Athletics.

The game began with a challenging first inning, where the A's immediately put us in a two-run deficit.
Miguel Andujar homered to right, followed by
Shea Langeliers hitting one to left field. Our batters sailed through the first inning without getting on the board.
Struggles at the Plate
Despite
Christian Walker managing a single in the second inning and
Jon Singleton surviving a fielder's choice, we grounded into a double play to end any scoring threat.

Meanwhile, the Athletics extended their lead in the fourth inning, when a sacrifice fly by
Gio Urshela and a subsequent double by
Colby Thomas added two more runs. That set the score to 0-4, and despite a double from
Taylor Trammell in the sixth, we just couldn't seem to bring anyone home.
Final Comeback Attempt
The ninth inning provided some hope when
Chas McCormick hit a double and later scored on a
Mauricio Dubón double to give us our only run of the night.

Our persistence was unmatched, but the seven-run mountain from the A's proved too steep to climb, putting us at a 7-1 loss. Onward and upward, Astros fans! We'll be ready to bring our A-game next time.
