The deadlock was finally broken in the bottom of the 5th when Cavan Biggio homered for the Royals, putting us on the back foot. However, our boys didn't waver! In the top of the 6th, Luis Urías came through with a clutch single that brought in Henry Bolte to even the score.
A Battle of Wits and Missed Opportunities
The game saw a tactical battle from both benches with several pitching changes, and defensive switches kept the match finely poised. In the 7th inning, the Royals threatened with Jack Pineda tripling, but a brilliant defensive stand ensured no further damage. The 9th inning saw suspense fill the air as Nick Kurtz walked, but a double play dashed our hopes of snatching a win. Logan Davidson's single was not capitalized on, and Drew Avans struck out to end our chance to take the lead.

It was a day of hard-fought battles with both lineups unable to find that decisive edge. Despite being unable to clinch the win, our Oakland Athletics showed resilience and potential for future victories. Let's gear up and support our boys as they continue their journey through the season.
