This is where the magic happened! In the bottom of the 6th, Luis Rengifo got us going with a single. Willie Calhoun and Luis Guillorme drew walks to load the bases. Then, Mickey Moniak was hit by a pitch, bringing Rengifo home to tie the game at 1-1. Zach Neto doubled to left, clearing the bases and scoring Calhoun, Moniak, and Guillorme. Matt Thaiss capped off the inning with a double that brought Neto home. Suddenly, it was a 5-1 game!
Closing Time 
Our bullpen kept the pressure on, with excellent relief pitching from Andrew Wantz, Luke Bard, and Javy Guerra. The Athletics tried to rally in the 9th inning, scoring one more run on a sacrifice fly by Max Schuemann, but it was too little too late. The final out sealed the deal, and our Angels came away with a solid 5-2 win.
