The Angels started strong with a two-run homer by Jo Adell in the bottom of the 1st inning, establishing an early lead. But our boys weren’t about to let the Angels fly too high. Willie MacIver brought a smile back to A's fans with an impressive 407-foot solo home run in the top of the 3rd inning to cut the lead down.
Tyler Soderstrom kept the momentum going with another homer in the 7th, keeping our hopes alive with a score of 3-2. He was fantastic tonight both on the plate and on the field. In the 8th, we saw Nick Kurtz and Brent Rooker rallying the lineup to bring Kurtz home and tie up the game. Excitement soared as Colby Thomas hit a sacrifice fly to bring Kurtz across the plate, leveling things out at 3-3.

A Tough Finish
Going into the bottom of the 8th, the Angels squeaked ahead again. A ground-rule double by Travis d'Arnaud brought Taylor home, unfortunately tilting the score to 4-3 in their favor. Despite the A’s giving it their all, the Angels' defense held strong in the 9th inning, preventing us from making a comeback. The game ended as Lawrence Butler's last attempt to get on base resulted in a foul out to left field. While we didn't secure the victory today, the Athletics showcased some stellar plays and made the Angels work hard for their win.
