Thrilling Victory in Miami!
Woohoo, A’s fans!
We pulled off a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins in a nail-biting game that kept us on the edge of our seats till the very end. This win was packed with some intense moments that reminded us why we love this game. Let’s go through the highlights that led our Oakland Athletics to triumph at the LoanDepot Park.Early Advantage
The game started off slow with both teams struggling to get on the scoreboard in the first inning. But our boys came alive in the top of the 2nd inning. After a couple of singles from Miguel Andujar and Jacob Wilson, it was Gio Urshela who came through in the clutch with a crucial double to center, driving in Wilson and Andujar to give us a much-needed 2-0 lead. That was the breakthrough we needed, and the excitement in the stands was electric!
Marlins' Response
The Marlins fought back in the bottom of the 4th inning, showing resilience as they tied the game. Dane Myers doubled to right, bringing home two runs. The tension was palpable as the Marlins clawed their way back to level the score at 2-2.

The game remained tied into the 9th inning until Nick Kurtz sparked the action with a thrilling triple to left field. The anticipation was building, and when Tyler Soderstrom stepped up to the plate as a pinch hitter, he did not disappoint! A single to center field allowed Kurtz to scamper home, putting us ahead 3-2. The roar of the Athletics faithful was music to our ears!
Sealing the Deal
With a slender lead to protect in the bottom of the 9th, Ferguson took the mound with ice in his veins, determined to close it out. We watched on with bated breath as Eric Wagaman popped out, and Connor Norby grounded out, followed by a nerve-wracking strikeout to end the game as Kyle Stowers swung and missed. The final out secured our victory, and what a sweet victory it was!

This game truly highlighted the indomitable spirit of our team. Whether it's stellar hitting from Urshela or clutch pitching that saves the day, our Athletics showed we've got the talent and determination to go toe-to-toe with the best.
