A Rough Day in Pittsburgh

Hey A's fans! 😅 What can I say? It was a tough game to watch as the Oakland Athletics went up against the Pittsburgh Pirates and finished with a rough 0-11 loss.

Offensive Struggles

We were hopeful at the start when Brent Rooker got a single in the first inning, followed by Nick Kurtz who also singled and moved Rooker to second. Unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on this moment as Tyler Soderstrom struck out swinging and Jacob Wilson flied out. Our offense really struggled to make any headway. Carlos Cortes also made it to third in the top of the 2nd, but again, we couldn't bring him home.

Tough Time on the Mound

The Pirates didn't hold back. We saw some fireworks from Jared Triolo who hit a homer and several plays that kept the bases busy for the Pirates, adding to our bullpen's stress. Joey Bart's 420-foot homer in the 5th basically sealed the deal for Pittsburgh. Special props to Bart. 🎆

Silver Linings ✨

Though it was a struggle, our guys hustled the entire game. Brent Rooker and Carlos Cortes showed grit with their hits, and Brett Harris doubled in the 8th. We have our eye on potential – we’re rooting for you guys to bounce back bigger and better. Let's turn it around, Athletics fans! 🟢🟡

We'll regroup and continue to support our Oakland squad, full of heart and determination. Let's stay hopeful and look to future victories. Go A’s! 🌟
