Starting Off Slow
The Mariners hosted the Athletics in a nail-biting matchup, ultimately clinching a narrow 3-2 victory. The game began with a bit of a rough start for our Mariners as the Athletics came out swinging. In the top of the first inning, Brent Rooker from the Athletics hit a 389-foot homer to left center, putting us at a 0-1 disadvantage early on. Our bats were silent in response, with Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh, and Julio Rodríguez unable to convert in the bottom half of the inning.Turning the Tide
The Athletics held onto their slight lead until Eugenio Suárez stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the 5th inning and blasted a solo home run to left (373 feet), tying the game 1-1!
Decisive 7th Inning
Come the bottom of the 7th inning, Josh Naylor reignited the crowd with a massive solo home run to right center (397 feet)!

What a game, Seattle! It's never easy against a scrappy team like the Athletics, but we've pulled off another clutch win. Go Mariners!
