What a Finish! Rangers Stun Athletics in Extra Innings! ​

Hey Rangers fans! What a rollercoaster of emotions that game was! The tension, the excitement, and finally, the sweet taste of victory! Our boys pulled off a thrilling extra-inning win against the Athletics, 6-4!

Early Lead and Defensive Strength ​

The game started off with a solid defensive showing. Corey Seager doubled in the first inning and Adolis García brought him home with another double, putting us up 1-0 early. José Ureña came in relief in the second inning and held the A’s in check.

Building the Lead ​

In the 3rd, Justin Foscue walked and Seager moved him up. Then, Josh Smith singled to score Foscue, making it 2-0. Our defense stayed sharp through the next few innings, with strong plays from Marcus Semien and Josh Jung.

Athletics Fight Back ​

The Athletics slowly chipped away at our lead. They scored once in the 5th and tied it up in the 8th due to Zack Gelof’s double. The pressure was on as we entered the final innings.

Heart-Pounding Climax in Extra Innings ​

The 10th inning brought drama. The A’s took a 4-2 lead, but our Rangers weren’t done yet! Adolis García brought us closer with a single, scoring Semien. Then, Jankowski, running for García, stole second. With two on base, Josh Jung stepped up big time and crushed a homer to right field, ending it 6-4!

Big shoutout to Adolis García for his clutch hits, and Josh Jung for that game-winning bomb! Our bullpen, with Leclerc and Festa, also held strong. Way to go, Rangers! Let's keep this momentum rolling!
