Schwarber Sets the Tone Early
What a game, Phillies fans!
Defense & Errors Tip the Scale
Despite both teams having their moments, it was our defense and a couple of Boston errors that really made the difference. The 4th inning was pivotal; Bryce Harper and Bryson Stott both capitalized on a mistake by Boston's first baseman, Dominic Smith, turning what could have been a close inning into a 3-1 lead for the Phillies.
Schwarber Does It Again
In the 5th, Kyle Schwarber reminded everyone at Fenway Park why he’s a major threat, hammering another solo homer to right center. That 427-foot beauty extended our lead to 4-1, giving us a cushion that our pitchers did a fantastic job protecting. It was a night to remember for Schwarber, and surely a performance that'll be talked about on the forums for days to come!Pitchers Seal the Deal
Pitching was on point tonight, preventing the Red Sox from mounting any real comeback. The game ended with Jose Alvarado striking out Rafael Devers, confirming our well-deserved 4-1 win. The Red Sox threatened briefly in the 9th, with David Hamilton reaching third, but our defense stood firm.To wrap it up, what a victory, Phillies Nation!
