Cubs Dominate Phillies in 10-2 Victory at Wrigley! 🐻

Hey Cubs fans! What an exciting game we had today at Wrigley Field as our boys routed the Phillies with a commanding 10-2 victory. The offense was on fire, and our pitching staff kept the Phillies in check. Let’s dive into the details! 🔥

Early Struggles, but Homers Light Up Wrigley! 🚀

The game started with a bit of a stumble when the Phillies took an early lead in the 1st inning. Bryson Stott flied out, but Trea Turner singled and later scored on Brandon Marsh's RBI single. ⚾Nick Castellanos also struck out to leave the score 0-1.

Our Cubs couldn't quite find their footing initially, with Nico Hoerner, Patrick Wisdom, and Cody Bellinger all getting retired in quick order. By the end of the 3rd inning, we were still trailing 0-1.

4th and 5th Innings - Cubs Explode! 💥🌟

The 4th inning was the turning point. Cody Bellinger got on base with a walk, and Seiya Suzuki followed up with a single. Then, Ian Happ crushed a homer to left center, driving in Bellinger and Suzuki! That put us ahead 3-2. 🏠 Another run by Swanson and a single from Hoerner drove up the score to 5-2.

We didn’t stop there. In the 5th inning, Bellinger singled, followed by another single from Suzuki. On a wild pitch by Domínguez, Bellinger and Suzuki advanced, setting the stage for yet another home run by Ian Happ! The score now stood at 8-2, thanks to that unbelievable 414-foot shot! ⚾🔥

Closing with Dominance 🚀🔒

Our pitching took control from there. David Dahl, Johan Rojas, and Garrett Stubbs couldn’t get anything done. In the 8th, Bohm and Turner struck out to keep the score frozen at 9-2. Morel added another RBI to make it 9-2.

In the bottom of the 8th, Tomas Nido managed a single, Hoerner got hit by a pitch, and Wisdom singled to load the bases. Bellinger grounded into a fielder's choice, allowing Nido to score. The score was finally capped at 10-2.

Our bullpen sealed the deal as Neris struck out Marsh, retired Clemens, and struck out Dahl. What a game, everyone. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Cubs Go! 🐻🎉⚾
