A Rocky Start
The game began with some early struggles for our Philadelphia Phillies. In the top of the 1st, Trea Turner and Bryce Harper both grounded out, and even though Kyle Schwarber secured a walk, Nick Castellanos flied out to end the opening frame. Our bats remained quiet early on, with the Rockies finding their stride behind an early homer from Ezequiel Tovar. We ended the 1st inning trailing 0-1.Chipping Away
The Phillies showed resilience in the 5th inning, despite trailing 0-2. Trea Turner tripled to right and later scored on a Bryce Harper single to put us on the board!

Turning Up the Heat
The 8th inning proved decisive as the Phillies' bats exploded! Alec Bohm launched a two-run homer, driving in Nick Castellanos, and gave us our first lead of the night. With Edmundo Sosa and Brandon Marsh on base, Trea Turner came through again with a double that brought them both home, extending our lead to 6-3. What a turnaround!
Sealing the Victory
The Phillies weren't done yet. In the 9th, Kyle Schwarber smashed a massive 466-foot solo homer to right, further extending our lead. Edmundo Sosa then decided to join the party with his own two-run homer, making the score 9-3! The Rockies couldn't muster any more offense thanks to some stellar pitching, and the Phillies cruised to victory.
What an exhilarating game by our Phillies! It's victories like these that solidify my pride as a fan. Can't wait to see what this talented squad has in store for us next! Go Phillies!
