Moving on to the 2nd inning, our offense truly caught fire. After Brenton Doyle worked a walk and stole second, Elehuris Montero also took a base on balls. Then, Hunter Goodman doubled to right, scoring Doyle and advancing Montero to third. But we weren’t stopping there! A little bit of good fortune and smart play led to Rodgers grounding into a fielder's choice, allowing Montero to score and, thanks to an error, Tovar as well, pushing our lead to 5-0. That's what I call taking full advantage of every opportunity!

Even though the game's intensity mellowed a bit after our explosive start, there were a few heart-pumping moments in the late innings. Charlie Blackmon, stepping in as a pinch hitter, was a sight for sore eyes, even if he lined out to third. It always feels good seeing one of our favorites swing the bat. And let’s not forget our bullpen, closing out the game with precision and ensuring that our early lead stood firm through the 9th inning.
