The game had a rough beginning for us, with the Brewers initially taking a 3-0 lead by the end of the 1st inning, with contributions like a long homer from Brice Turang. By the end of the 4th, the Brewers extended their lead to 5-1. But then, our Phillies began clawing back. In the 5th, Bryson Stott's crucial hit and Trea Turner's massive triple narrowed it down to 5-3.Rhythm in the Middle Innings
Our boys picked up steam in the 6th inning. J.T. Realmuto got hit by a pitch, and then Brandon Marsh and Harrison Bader turned the tide by narrowing the gap. Max Kepler and Edmundo Sosa brought in essential runs for a 6-5 lead! But the Brewers retained some fight, equalizing the score at 6-6.Clutch 9th Inning Performance
It all came down to the 9th inning. With the game tied at 8-8, Garrett Stubbs ran for Kyle Schwarber and scored the go-ahead run thanks to a crucial Brandon Marsh single. Harrison Bader solidified our lead, securing the victory with another RBI single, bringing Phillies up to the final count of 10-8. An honorable mention to our closer Duran who wrapped it up smoothly in the bottom of the 9th, ensuring dismissals of the Brewers’ lineup.
