What a game, Mets fans! Our boys pulled off a nail-biting victory over the Phillies, securing a 6-5 win that kept us on the edge of our seats until the very last moment. It's always sweet to snatch a victory right at the end, and this was no exception. Let's break down the action from Citi Field! 
Slow Start, Fast Finish
The early innings were a battle of defenses with both teams unable to get on the board. Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto showed patience at the plate, but it wasn't until the 5th inning that the fireworks started. Pete Alonso was instrumental with a crucial double, driving in Lindor and Soto, turning the tide in our favor and putting us ahead 5-2. The combination of patience and key hits was the strategy tonight.

Holding Off the Phillies and Sealing the Deal
Despite a scare in the 8th when Harrison Bader went deep to tie the game, our bullpen came through in the clutch. Edwin Díaz, as always, was electric on the mound. The ninth inning was a testament to our resilience. Starling Marte started the inning with a single and, thanks to additional hits from Brett Baty and Brandon Nimmo, we clinched the walk-off win, with Nimmo's single bringing Marte home for the victory. What a way to finish it off!
