An Electrifying Start! ⚾️

The game got off to a breathtaking start for the Philadelphia Phillies fans with Trea Turner smashing a home run to center field, sending the ball 426 feet to give us an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. That's how you set the tone! 🏃‍♂️💨 Bryce Harper followed with a fly-out to right, and though Kyle Schwarber managed a walk, the inning wrapped up with no further scoring. Still, what a start!

Quiet Mid-Innings 🙅‍♂️

Despite the promising start, both teams settled into a pattern of defensive plays and strikeouts through the middle innings. The pitching was on point, and it seemed like a chess game with no side wanting to give an inch. Alec Bohm grabbed a couple of hits, reminding us of his nifty bat work, but the scoreboard remained unchanged at 1-0 in favor of our Phillies.

A Thrilling Finish! 🎢

The 9th inning was truly a roller-coaster! It began with J.T. Realmuto hustling down the line to reach on an infield single, and after a throwing error, he advanced to third. Bohm then doubled, bringing Realmuto home to make it 2-0. A Johan Rojas single added another run, and following Turner's single, we were sitting comfortably at 4-0. 🎉

However, the bottom of the 9th tested our nerves. The Athletics made a valiant comeback with Nick Kurtz hitting a 425-foot homer, bringing in 3 runs. 😬 With the score now 4-3, tensions were high, but our bullpen held firm, with Banks striking out Lawrence Butler to clinch the win. 🥳

Final Score: Phillies 4, Athletics 3. Let's keep up this momentum, Phillies! 🐦🔔
