Phillies Start Strong! ⚾️

What a way to kick off the game! Our Philadelphia Phillies were on fire right out of the gate! After two quick outs in the top of the 1st inning, Bryce Harper came through with a single to center, followed by Kyle Schwarber drawing a walk. Then, it was Nick Castellanos who delivered the first big hit of the night—a clutch double to left field, bringing Schwarber and Harper home, putting the Phillies up by two runs!

Holding Off the Cardinals 💪

Our pitching and defense were relentless in keeping the Cardinals at bay. Even when St. Louis posed a threat in the bottom of the 3rd inning with bases loaded, we managed to escape unscathed when Luken Baker grounded into a double play. And while the Cards did manage to get one on the board in the 6th inning, our lead was never truly in danger.

Additional Insurance Runs 🏃‍♂️

The Phillies' bats were quiet for a bit, but we found life again in the 5th inning when Bryson Stott doubled to right, allowing Brandon Marsh to score. Later, in the 7th inning, Trea Turner joined the action with a solid single to left, scoring Alec Bohm. This brought the score to 4-1, adding a comfortable cushion as we progressed to the later innings.

Solid Finish! 🎉

Our bullpen did an outstanding job closing the game. José Alvarado took the mound in the 9th inning and recorded a strikeout before getting Jordan Walker and Pedro Pagés to pop out, sealing the victory for the Phillies! Final score: 4-1, Phillies win! It’s always great to watch our team perform with poise and confidence on both sides of the ball. Go Phils! 🥳⚾
