The Reds Take the Lead Early
What a game for the Cincinnati Reds!

The highlight moment, though, was courtesy of Jeimer Candelario, who absolutely smashed a homer to left field, driving in Blake Dunn and himself to boost our lead to 3-0. What a way to make a statement in the first inning!

Reds Extend Their Lead
In the bottom of the third inning, the Reds capitalized on some Pirates mistakes. After Elly De La Cruz and Steer got on base, a throwing error by Pirate's catcher, Endy Rodríguez, along with a wild pitch, allowed both of them to score. This brought the tally to 5-0 in favor of our beloved Reds. It's always great to see our team take advantage of the opponent's slip-ups.
Pirates Try to Storm Back
The Pirates put up a fight in the fifth inning when Tommy Pham doubled to collect a run, followed by Adam Frazier's two-run homer. This cut our lead down to 5-3. But thanks to steady pitching and solid defense, the Reds kept their claws dull and managed to hold on to our two-run lead, silencing the Pirate offense for the remainder of the game.
Reds’ Bullpen Shuts Down Pirates
The Reds bullpen was dependable when it mattered most. Rogers, Ashcraft, and finally Pagán took turns keeping the Pirates' bats quiet from the 6th inning onwards. Despite Andrew McCutchen trying his luck as a pinch hitter, Pagán sealed the deal in the 9th inning, securing the win with a couple of key strikeouts.A solid 5-3 victory for the Reds, and a fantastic game for our fans! Let’s keep this momentum rolling! Let's go, Reds!
