A Close Game in the Big Apple
Hey Pirates fans!
Highlights and Key Plays
The game got off to a rocky start on the offensive end with Adam Frazier and Bryan Reynolds both striking out swinging in the 1st inning. We saw some spark in the 2nd as Ke'Bryan Hayes hit a thrilling triple to center field! However, Alexander Canario and Jared Triolo couldn't capitalize on the momentum. We managed to pull even in the 6th inning when Henry Davis's patient at-bat drew a much-needed walk, pushing Canario across home plate.

But the key moment came in the bottom of the 7th when the Mets' Brett Baty launched a 365-foot homer to left field, giving them the edge they needed. Our bullpen did a fantastic job keeping them at bay for the rest of the game. Shoutout to our defense and pitchers for maintaining composure under pressure.

Nail-Biting Finish
In the top of the 9th inning, an error by Francisco Lindor gave us a glimmer of hope. With Frazier advancing to third and Isiah Kiner-Falefa stealing second, it looked like we might tie it up!
As a Pirates fan, it's tough to take a loss, but it's moments like these that highlight why we love the unpredictability and excitement of baseball. Let's keep rallying behind our Buccos as the season continues. Let's go Bucs!
