Tough Loss for the Yankees Against the Pirates
The Yankees hosted the Pirates at home, and after a promising start, it all fell apart in the later innings. The final score stood at 4-2 in favor of Pittsburgh. Let’s break down this nail-biting game.Early Pitching Duel ️
Both teams kept it scoreless through the first four innings, thanks to some sharp pitching and solid defense. Highlight for us was Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s double in the first inning, which unfortunately didn’t pay off as Alex Verdugo popped up.Breaking the Deadlock
The Yankees were the first to strike in the bottom of the 5th. Jose Trevino singled, followed by Oswaldo Cabrera doubling to right. After loading the bases, Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a clutch single to center, bringing home Trevino and Cabrera. Yankees up 2-0!Pirates Bounce Back

The Yankees couldn’t muster a comeback in the latter innings. Jasson Domínguez and Trent Grisham both struck out looking in crucial situations.
