Disappointing Start
The game kicked off with some promise as our starting shortstop, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, got hit by a pitch, giving us a chance for a risky start. However, that was about the only positive thing in the top of the 1st inning as Bryan Reynolds, Connor Joe, and Ke'Bryan Hayes struck out to leave us scoreless.Padres Strike First
The bottom of the 1st inning was a nightmare. Luis Arraez singled and stole second, setting up a 3-run bomb by Jake Cronenworth that quickly sank our hopes early. By the end of the inning, we were already down 3-0. Ouch.Struggling Offense
Our bats stayed cold in the 2nd inning, and we just couldn't get anything going. Bryan De La Cruz, Michael A. Taylor, and Yasmani Grandal all went down in quick succession. Meanwhile, the Padres kept piling on, with Arraez doubling to drive in another run to make it 4-0. It's getting rough out there!Battered Pitching
The 3rd inning was even worse. Our pitchers struggled as Jackson Merrill and David Peralta both produced RBIs, extending their lead to 8-0. Our pitchers were just not up for the task today and it showed.Little Sparks of Life
We had some highlights, small as they were. Joey Bart hit a solo shot in the top of the 6th, giving us a tiny flicker of hope at 8-1. De La Cruz and Taylor had some moments too, but it was not enough. By the 9th inning, Kiner-Falefa did manage an RBI single to make it 8-2, but that was all she wrote.Closing Thoughts
Another tough outing for the Bucks, and the Padres definitely dominated us. We've got to get our bats going and shore up our pitching if we want to start seeing some wins. It’s always tough to stay hopeful in these moments, but we’re still behind our team all the way. Go Bucs!Final Score: 8-2 Padres Clinch It.
