Cardinals Pull Off a Nail-Biter Against the Pirates! 
What a game! The St. Louis Cardinals edge out the Pittsburgh Pirates in a thrilling 4-3 victory. Let's break down how our Redbirds soared to victory. 
Goldschmidt's Big Blast and Donovan's Dinger 
The game remained a pitching duel for the first few innings until the bottom of the 3rd. After Masyn Winn tripled to right, Paul Goldschmidt brought him home with a massive 404-foot homer to center, giving us a 2-0 lead. Brendan Donovan added another run with a solo homer in the 6th, which proved to be the game-winning run. What a night for our hitters!Shaky 5th Inning but Resolute Pitching to Close

The Pirates scored three runs in the 5th to tie it up. Jared King's timely relief and Roycroft's subsequent appearance helped to limit the damage. Fernandez and Kittredge then shut the door in the 8th and 9th innings, keeping the Pirates off the board and securing our victory. Michael Siani stole a base and made some crucial plays in center field, while Winn showcased his defensive skills and speed on the base paths. Our defense was solid, highlighted by double plays and some key strikeouts.Looking Ahead
