Rockies' Resilience on Display
What a game, Rockies fans!Early Nerves and Middle Innings Drama
The first few innings were a bit of a struggle for both teams offensively, with neither side getting on the board. Both Mickey Moniak and Ezequiel Tovar worked their way on base in early innings, but double plays and strikeouts halted our momentum. On the other hand, our pitchers held the Padres scoreless with solid outs and key strikeouts. Things got interesting in the third inning when Manny Machado hit a sac fly to put the Padres in the lead, but Hunter Goodman tied it up for us with a solo homer in the fourth! What a shot, Goodman!Zac Veen's Heroics
Zac Veen entered the game with a bang and saved his best for last. The Padres managed to tie the game at 2-2 in the 8th inning, setting the stage for a tense finale. But just when it seemed like extra innings were inevitable, Veen unleashed a monstrous 447-foot homer in the bottom of the 9th to win it!Hats off to our pitching staff, who kept the Padres mostly quiet all day, and to every player that came in and did their job. We finished with a well-deserved victory and showed tremendous grit and determination. A collective team effort that should make all Rockies fans proud! Go Rockies!
