Our pitching staff remained robust throughout the game, managing to keep the Padres at bay with critical outs. However, Jake Cronenworth and José Iglesias managed to extend San Diego's lead with key hits in the 5th and 7th innings. The Padres further added to their lead in the 8th, making the competition stiffer as they reached a 5-0 lead.A Late Rally by the Dodgers, but Just Short
It was a nail-biting finish as the Dodgers finally found momentum in the bottom of the 9th. Teoscar Hernández, Tommy Edman, and Miguel Rojas capitalized on fielding errors by the Padres, driving in three runs, and making the Padres uneasy. Sadly, Dalton Rushing struck out swinging, concluding a heart-pounding thrill that ended in a 5-3 loss.Despite the outcome, the element of a late rally displayed the tenacity of our team. While it wasn’t the result we wanted, we're proud of the fight shown at the end. Upward and onward, Dodger fans—let’s get ready for the next one!
