Dominant First Inning 
It's not every day you see such a thrilling start from the Mets, but boy, did we deliver! The bottom of the first was electric! 
️ Francisco Lindor kicked things off with a single, and before we knew it, the bases were loaded. Brandon Nimmo got the party started with an RBI single. The real fireworks, though, came courtesy of Jeff McNeil and Brett Baty. McNeil doubled in two runs, and Baty's two-run homer sealed an explosive five-run inning for our boys. Let's go Mets! 
Homers Galore! 
The second inning was all about showcasing that long-ball magic. 
Lindor crushed a solo shot to get the crowd roaring, followed by a massive 437-foot bomb by Pete Alonso. It's these kinds of moments that make our lineup so lethal. Baty wasn’t the only youngster doing damage, as Cedric Mullins joined the fun in the fourth inning with a solo homer of his own! 
Solid Pitching and Defense 
Our pitchers were absolutely dealing out there! Despite giving up a few homers, they kept the Padres at bay throughout the game. Shout out to the bullpen for some solid relief work, especially keeping a strong offense like San Diego's from rallying back. Our defense was slick as ever, turning timely double plays, and ensuring no runner had it easy. A special nod to Luisangel Acuña for showcasing versatility by stepping in at second during the ninth. Closing it Out 
Heading into the late innings, the Padres tried to claw their way back with a solo homer in the eighth, but our team kept composed and locked things down. A strong ninth with no runs allowed was the cherry on top. 
Hats off to our Mets for a fantastic 8-3 victory - a game that's sure to hype up the fanbase! Let’s keep this momentum rolling, LGM!
