Hey Friars Fans! What a fantastic game we just witnessed! The Padres’ stellar performance against the Nationals culminated in an impressive 4-0 victory. Let's dive into the highlights and key moments that defined this thrilling match.

Both teams started off with solid defense and pitching. In the first few innings, neither could crack the scoreboard. Our guys like Luis Arraez, Jurickson Profar, and Xander Bogaerts put the ball in play, but the Nationals’ defense held strong. On the other side, our pitchers ensured the Nationals mirrored our struggle.
Fifth Inning Fireworks!

Our bullpen was on fire! Relievers like Morejon, Estrada, and Suarez were lights out, keeping the Nationals off the board entirely. Suarez efficiently closed out the game in the ninth inning by striking out James Wood to clinch the win for the Padres.
