Giants Draw First Blood

The Giants had a promising start in today’s game against the Rockies! In the top of the 2nd inning, Matt Chapman hit a double to left, followed by Mike Yastrzemski walking. Thairo Estrada drove both runners in with a clutch triple to left, giving us an early 2-0 lead. 🎉

Expanding the Lead

We added another run in the 3rd inning as Patrick Bailey grounded out but brought in Jorge Soler from third base. That made it 3-0 and had us feeling super confident! 😎

Rockies' Response

The Rockies finally got on the board in the 6th inning with a two-run homer by Brenton Doyle. Our lead was trimmed to 3-2, but we were still in control. 🤞

Nail-Biting 7th Inning

Things got a bit tense in the 7th. A throwing error from Matt Chapman and several unfortunate plays allowed the Rockies to tie the game at 3-3. Our defense was tested, but we managed to end the inning tied. 😬

Rockies Take the Lead 😔

The bottom of the 8th inning was rough. Luis Matos and Ty. Rogers came in, but the Rockies capitalized with a big hit from Jake Cave, sending three runs home. Ezequiel Tovar then blasted a solo homer to push the lead to 7-3. Ouch.

Final Inning Woes

In our final at-bat, we just couldn’t get anything going. Will Vodnik shut us down, and our bats fell silent. We ended the game with a 7-3 loss.

Tough game, Giants fans, but let's keep our heads up. There are brighter days ahead! 🌟
