A Rollercoaster Start

Wow, what a game! 🎢 The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants faced off in an intense matchup that kept us on the edge of our seats here in Denver. The game started off a bit rocky (no pun intended) with the Giants taking an early lead right out of the gate. Jung Hoo Lee tripled to center, and shortly after, Willy Adames hit a sacrifice fly that let Lee score, putting the Giants ahead.

The Comeback Begins

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, things began to turn in our favor! 🙌 Brenton Doyle doubled, and with help from Ryan Ritter, he scored, tying the game at 1–1. Then, our boy Ryan McMahon crushed a homer to left center (424 feet!) in the bottom of the 4th inning to give us that sweet one-run lead! 💪 Kyle Farmer later added another run with his 5th inning solo homer. The moment Goodman tripled, and Estrada grounded him in, along with a sensational triple by Doyle in the 8th, I was sure we had it in the bag!

Heartbreak in the 9th

But oh boy, the 9th inning brought the drama. Casey Schmitt of the Giants hit a homer using that thin air to his advantage, and the mounting tension was palpable. The Giants clawed back with some sneaky play and managed runs across the board. 😩 With Yastrzemski and Adames hitting crucial singles, they took a 6–5 lead.

We had a small glimmer of hope with Orlando Arcia and Hunter Goodman stepping up during the last moments, but sadly, it wasn't enough to tip the scales back in our favor. Final score: Giants 6, Rockies 5.

Our Rockies fought hard today. Despite the loss, there were some strong individual performances and moments showing our heart and tenacity. Let's keep that momentum for the next game, Rockies fans! 🌟
