Tough Loss at Coors Field

Hey Rockies fans, it was a roller coaster of a game against the San Francisco Giants today at Coors Field. Just when it seemed like we had the momentum, the Giants orchestrated a late-game comeback to finish the day with a 10-7 victory. 😓

Strong Start Becomes a Rocky Middle

Early in the game, Willy Adames took the wind out of our sails with a two-run homer in the 1st inning. 🤯 However, our bats came alive in the 3rd inning when Hunter Goodman started a rally with a double to score Tyler Freeman. Then, a field error by the Giants allowed Jordan Beck and Goodman himself to cross the plate, leveling the score. Not long after, Keston Hiura singled in Thairo Estrada to put us up 4-3. 🙌

Late-Inning Drama Unfolds

We entered the 8th with a 6-3 lead, thanks to smart base running and clutch hits. However, the Giants refused to back down. Despite our efforts, they surged back with a four-run 8th inning that included a two-run double by Mike Yastrzemski, flipping the script to a 6-7 score. 😬

In the top of the 9th, Jung Hoo Lee and Adames added pressure with some sharp base-running, leading to three more runs. We did manage to score a highlight-worthy 427-foot homer from Goodman in the bottom of the 9th, but it just wasn't enough to spark a comeback. ⚾💪

Keeping Heads Held High

Even though the game didn't end in our favor, there were moments of brilliance. Brenton Doyle showcased his speed and skill, stealing second in the 5th, and Goodman showed he's quite the power hitter. Let's keep up the spirit and bounce back stronger in the next game, Rockies Nation! Onwards and upwards! 🚀

Go Rockies! 🎉
