Tough Day at the Plate
Hey Giants fans, Last night’s game against the Brewers was tough to watch as our Giants struggled to get on the board, ultimately falling 0-6. Our lineup couldn't find its groove, only managing a few scattered hits throughout the game.Missed Opportunities
The top of the 1st inning showed promise with Tyler Fitzgerald walking and Michael Conforto singling, but Matt Chapman struck out swinging to strand runners on the corners. We saw much of the same in the 2nd and 3rd innings, as Patrick Bailey, Heliot Ramos, and Grant McCray couldn’t capitalize on their at-bats.Brewers Set the Tone
Unfortunately, the Brewers took an early lead in the 2nd inning when Garrett Mitchell homered to right-center following Willy Adames' fly out. They didn't stop there, with Gary Sanchez walking and Joey Ortiz doubling shortly after, bringing home another run on a sac fly by Blake Perkins.Fourth Inning Meltdown
The bottom of the 4th is where the game really slipped away from us. A series of walks and a timely double by Jackson Chourio allowed the Brewers to extend their lead to 6-0. The third run of the inning came when William Contreras scored Jackson Chourio with a single after Joe Hjelle relieved Ben Birdsong.Looking Ahead
Despite our best efforts, the Brewers kept our bats quiet. We saw some defensive highlights and good plays, but we struggled overall. Let's hope the Giants can shake it off and come back strong in the next game.Stay positive, Giants fans! Remember, it's a long season and there’s plenty of baseball left to play!
