A Tough Extra Innings Loss at Home
Mets fans, this one stings! We watched our boys fight back hard against the Giants, but unfortunately we came up just a bit short, ending with a nail-biting 4-3 loss in extra innings.
Slow Start and a Thrilling Comeback
The game began with our bats somehow kept quiet for six whole innings. It wasn't until Pete Alonso launched a 414-foot homer to dead center in the 7th inning that things started to heat up! At this point, the tension was absolutely palpable. Then, in the 8th inning, Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor showed up with crucial RBIs that tied the game at 3-3, bringing us back to life and firing up the Citi Field crowd.A Tense 10th Inning
We went into extra innings with all the momentum, but the Giants managed to scrape a run in the top of the 10th. Unfortunately, despite a valiant effort that saw Francisco Lindor get hit by a pitch and reach base alongside Alonso, our rally fell short when Ronny Mauricio struck out swinging to end the game.Hope Remains
Our Mets showed resilience tonight, and despite the loss, there's plenty to be proud of! Our boys battled hard and never gave up. Let's keep up the support and look forward to the next game! Let's go Mets!
