Tough Night for Giants Offense
Hey Giants fans, last night's game against the Padres was a challenging one, to say the least.
Early Struggles
The top of the first inning started with Heliot Ramos, Rafael Devers, and Willy Adames being sent back to the dugout without much noise. On the other hand, the Padres wasted no time getting on the board as Fernando Tatis Jr. doubled and was quickly brought home by Ryan O'Hearn to give the Padres an early 1-0 lead. The second inning saw some promising signs for our Giants with Jung Hoo Lee and Christian Koss each managing a single, but they couldn't capitalize as Patrick Bailey ended the inning with a pop-out.Padres Extend the Lead
The Padres extended their lead in the second inning thanks to a solo homer by Gavin Sheets. The third inning then became a turning point; Manny Machado hit a massive home run, followed by Sheets again, who slammed a three-run homer thanks to a catastrophic fielding error by Christian Koss.
Giants' Brief Glimmer
Our first and only run came in the top of the fourth inning, thanks to Casey Schmitt hitting a beautiful solo home run to left center.
Looking Forward
We tip our hats
