Tough Day in Arizona
Well, fellow Mariners fans, it certainly wasn't the outcome we were hoping for as the Seattle Mariners fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-3. It was a tough day on the field, as multiple opportunities slipped by and the Diamondbacks capitalized on their chances.
A Promising Start
Our boys came out swinging in the top of the 1st but couldn't quite push any runs across the plate. Cal Raleigh and Jorge Polanco managed to get on base with singles, showing some early promise, but unfortunately, Randy Arozarena couldn't keep the momentum going. In contrast, our pitching and defense handled the Diamondbacks well in the opening innings, including an excellent throw to get Geraldo Perdomo out at the plate.
Silent Bats Until the 6th
The game was a tight affair with both sides unable to break through until the bottom of the 3rd when Corbin Carroll and Perdomo put the Diamondbacks on the board. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. then delivered a blow with a homerun in the 4th. Despite our best efforts, it wasn't until the 6th inning that our bats came alive. Back-to-back homers by Randy Arozarena and Rowdy Tellez gave us hope and put us back in contention. What a sight to see those long balls clearing the fences!

Diamondbacks Regain Control
Sadly, that momentum didn't last long. The bottom of the 6th saw Gabriel Moreno hitting a crucial three-run homer that widened the gap significantly. Corbin Carroll continued his great day with another RBI triple. Despite Julio Rodríguez delivering an RBI single in the 8th, it wasn't enough to stage a comeback, especially as Alek Thomas dealt the final blow with his homer in the 8th for the Diamondbacks. Despite the scoreline, our Mariners put up a fight till the end but ended up on the wrong side of this one.Onwards and upwards, Mariners fans! Let's regroup and get ready for the next game. We know this team has the talent and the spirit. Let's continue to support them through thick and thin.
