Ouch, Mariners Fans!
What a roller coaster of emotions in Arizona tonight, fellow Mariners fans! The M's put up a brave fight against the Diamondbacks but fell short after a heartbreaking 11th inning, losing 8-4.
The Game Starts
The game started off quietly, with J.P. Crawford earning an early walk, but as our boys attempted to find their rhythm, Corbin Carroll put the Diamondbacks ahead with a solo shot in the bottom of the 1st. The Mariners struggled to capitalize on early opportunities, repeatedly falling victim to double plays and missed chances.Battling Back
Despite the initial setbacks, the Mariners showed resilience in the 9th inning. Dominic Canzone smashed a massive 450-footer, tying the game 4-4, a thrilling moment that had all of us hopeful for a comeback victory. Rowdy Tellez and Julio Rodríguez also had key moments with singles, but it was not enough to secure a lead.Extra Inning Heartbreak
Heading into extra innings, Josh Naylor's homer in the 11th finally sealed our fate. Despite a strong pitching performance and hard-fought battle from our lineup, the Diamondbacks found a way, leaving us with a tough defeat to swallow. As tough as it was, moments like these will fuel our fire moving forward.
