Mariners Off to a Quick Start
What an exciting game! The Mariners came out swinging in the top of the 1st inning. After Victor Robles flied out to start, Randy Arozarena reached on an infield single. Then, our very own Cal Raleigh smashed a two-run homer to left center, giving us an early 2-0 lead. What a way to set the tone!Extending the Lead
We didn't let up in the 2nd inning. Dylan Moore started things off with a ground rule double. Mitch Haniger walked and with a steal from Moore, we had runners on the corners. Leo Rivas drove in another run with a fielder's choice and Arozarena added another infield single. Although Raleigh fouled out to end the inning, we were up 3-0. Great to see the team capitalizing on opportunities! Some Defensive Help
Our defense was on point, shutting down the White Sox in the bottom of the 1st and 2nd innings. Solid pitching and even a double play to end the 2nd inning. Keep it up, boys!Taking Advantage of Errors
In the top of the 3rd, Jorge Polanco singled and Dylan Moore reached on an error by the White Sox's third baseman. Both Polanco and Moore stole bases and eventually scored on another error by DeJong. We stretched the lead to 5-0. Errors or not, we made sure to capitalize on their mistakes.White Sox Get on the Board
The White Sox finally found some offense in the bottom of the 3rd. After two quick outs, Korey Lee singled, Nicky Lopez advanced him to third, and Tommy Pham brought him home with a single. Still, we had a comfortable 5-1 lead.Insurance Run in the 4th
We added one more in the 4th with a single from Raleigh again driving in Robles. Heading into the later innings, we were sitting pretty at 6-1. Kudos to Arozarena for reaching base and setting the table.Home Run Scare in the 7th
The only scary moment came in the 7th when Paul DeJong hit a two-run homer off Benintendi's double. But never fear! We still had a 6-3 lead and Voth quickly regained control to end the inning without any more damage.Closing It Down
The rest of the game was smooth sailing thanks to shutdown pitching. Jorge García and Andrés Muñoz made sure the White Sox didn’t get any more runs. Muñoz came in to secure the bottom of the 9th, and just like that, we're walking out with a 6-3 victory!Amazing game from the Mariners! Let’s keep this momentum going!
