Mariners Fall Short in Cincinnati

Tough one for us Mariners fans today, as we watched our squad fall to the Cincinnati Reds with a final score of 8-4. Despite a strong start, we couldn't quite keep the momentum going. The highlight of the game was definitely Dylan Moore, who was an absolute standout on two occasions with his pair of homers. He kicked things off in the first inning with a massive 429-foot homer to center field, giving us an early lead. And again in the fifth inning, he blasted a 389-foot homer to left, bringing home J.P. Crawford and pushing us ahead to a 4-2 lead.

Mid-game Struggles

The Reds started chipping away at our lead in the third inning. A couple of key hits from Gavin Lux and Austin Hays ended up tying the game at 2-2. Despite our efforts to rally back with Dylan Moore's second homer, the bottom of the fifth was disheartening. A throwing error by Randy Arozarena allowed the Reds to take advantage, then Austin Hays crushed a three-run homer off of Luis Castillo, pushing the Reds ahead 6-4.

Late Game Frustrations

The rest of the game saw us fighting hard but with no real breakthrough. Leo Rivas and J.P. Crawford managed to reach base in the sixth, but we couldn't bring them home. By the eighth inning, the Reds further extended their lead with two more runs. Our boys, unfortunately, couldn’t mount a comeback in the ninth. Although it wasn't our night, it's fantastic to see Dylan Moore in form! Let's keep the faith - tomorrow’s another game, and we'll be there cheering on our Mariners. 💙⚾
