Thrilling Start for the Guardians
Our Cleveland Guardians took on the Seattle Mariners with high hopes tonight! In a promising start, we kept the Mariners in check during the first two innings. Steven Kwan got things rolling with a beautiful double to left, setting the stage for Daniel Schneemann's stunning homer to right-center field, giving us an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third.

However, the story took a turn in the top of the 5th when Randy Arozarena launched a massive home run, leveling the scores at 2-2. Just a couple of innings later, Julio Rodríguez managed an infield single allowing two more Mariners to score, pushing them to a 4-2 lead. As the game moved on, the Mariners’ pitchers proved formidable. Kwan and Schneemann tried to spark a rally in the ninth, but unfortunately, we couldn’t break through their defense in the latter innings. Despite our best efforts and some standout defensive plays, especially that double play initiated by Angel Martínez in the 9th, the Guardians couldn’t find the opportunities to claw back.
It was an exhilarating game, but not the result we wanted. Let's bounce back in the next one, Guardians!
