Tough Day at Coors Field
Hey Rockies fans, just wrapped up watching our boys take on the Mariners here at Coors. Was hoping for a big win, but alas, it was not our day.
Early Innings - A Pitcher's Duel
The game started off promising with both teams locked in a pitcher's duel. The Mariners managed to sneak in a run in the top of the 2nd thanks to a homer by Cal Raleigh. That would be just the beginning of a long day for our Rockies. Despite solid efforts from our starters, including Ezequiel Tovar and our third baseman Ryan McMahon, we just couldn't get our bats going like we hoped.Mariners Pull Ahead
Things started to unravel in the top of the 5th. With two runners on, Jonatan Clase singled to right, bringing in three runs due to a fielding error by right fielder Sean Bouchard.
Rockies Struggled to Rally
Our Rockies tried to spark a rally. Elias Díaz got plunked in the 9th, and Tovar doubled, showing a glimmer of hope. However, with Díaz advancing on fielder's indifference and Elehuris Montero flying out to right to end the game, it just wasn't meant to be.
Looking Forward
It's a tough 7-0 loss to swallow, especially at home. But as Rockies fans, we're nothing if not resilient and hopeful.
